Over the past several months we have seen a very high interest level in what was called the "Nimble Nonprofit Starter Pack Enhancements".  As a Salesforce ISV, Consultant, and user we have seen some nonprofits use the Nonprofit Starter Pack (NPSP) to great success.  We have, however heard from clients and other NPSP users alike that they wish the NPSP had a few more functions.  Through our consulting engagements, we developed a toolkit that contains many of these features, which have now evolved into the NimblePack. 

After 17 years serving the association and nonprofit marketplace, this is our way of giving back. So NimbleUser has made the decision to offer the enhancements as an unmanaged package that allows anyone in the community to use the NimblePack, the Nimble Nonprofit Starter Pak Enhancements, free of charge.

Our hope is that some of our work will be used for the greater good and allow many nonprofit organizations to benefit from our experience both with mission- and donor-based organizations and Salesforce.   We'd also love to continue to give what help we are able back to the community.  To facilitate this we have created a new community website located here http://www.getsatisfaction.com/nimbleuser .  Our goal with the community is to facilitate peer-to-peer knowledge sharing as well as a place for our socially-minded staff to offer unpaid consultative guidance to NimblePack users.
 
Long term, our goal is to continue incrementally improving this product. Such improvements cannot happen with you, the NimblePack user, telling us about your experiences. As you might guess, this can only be done by joining the NimblePack community. Did we say you can join the NimblePack community here ?

• Ability to manage multiple groups and committees

• With the winter 2010 “Package Anything” ability, the package was made more robust for an easier installation. This means screen layouts, list views, and record types come along for the ride.

NimbleUser is very excited about NimblePack! Thanks to our clients and staff helping it come to fruition. As with most open source offerings, it is a work in progress and we will continue to refine and improve both the product and the documentation over time.
